Oops, I dropped the ball and missed my monthly post. I guess I will have to post twice this month. Our good news, I guess, would be Summer's good news. We received a letter in the mail today from The America Library of Poetry. She has been entered into a contest for her poem 'Chased'. I will add the poem at the end. She will find out if she wins anything at the end of September. Even if she doesn't she has been given a chance to buy a copy of the book they are going to publish her poem in. The book will be called 'Acclaimed'. We are excited about her good news.
Summer's Poem
Chased
The horse chased the cow,
The cow chase the wolf,
The wolf chased the goat,
The goat chased the sheep,
The sheep chased the dog,
The dog chased the pig,
The pig chased the cat,
The cat chased the chicken,
The chicken chased the mouse,
The mouse chased the lizard,
The lizard chased the cricket,
Who jumped frantically throughout the farmyard.
